Apple‘s latest iPhone, the iPhone 3G S, becomes available tomorrow, June 19th. It’s the fastest iPhone ever, it can shoot/edit/share video, it offers accessibility for those who are vision/hearing impaired, it’s camera, and much more. Also, you can compare the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3G S on the Apple website.

Mark and I are leaving tomorrow! Here we come Colorado! And then, here we come Samoa! Don’t expect to hear from me for atleast two weeks because that’s how long our vacation is and I’m going to check email as minimally as possible.

Getting ready for Samoa!!

In exactly two weeks from today, Mark and I will be in the South Pacific! Next Friday (19th) we leave Wisconsin for Colorado, and the following Tuesday we fly out from Denver to LAX and then from LAX all the way to Apia, Samoa. Whew! It will be a long flight, but I am ready! I’ve got 3 books that have been waiting patiently to be read…I haven’t been able to read any for-pleasure books since last summer. Not that I haven’t read any books since last summer, I have – but they all relate to my thesis. Anyways, for vacation I have a Maya Angelou book and a Toni Morrison book that I got during Christmas 2008 that I’ve been saving for this plane ride. And I have a book on Amazon bookmarked that I heard about on NPR, probably 4 months ago, that I’ll either order or try and find in an airport. I always end up buying more books and magazines at the airport. And I think I’ll take a book of poems with me. I’ve always taken a book of poems with me when I travel. There are always those small moments of waiting when traveling that are the perfect length of time to read a poem.

We’ve gotten most of our other things in order before we leave. Mainly it’s just the little things to take care of.

And…today is the birthday of Howlin’ Wolf, a legendary blues musician and singer. Check out this remembrance to Chester ‘Howlin’ Wolf’ Burnett performing Smokestack Lightning live in England 1964: http://www.fark.com/cgi/vidplayer.pl?IDLink=4439941

Moving over to a new blog…

Well, Mark and I got married (YAY!!!) and I’m slowly getting all my ducks in a row and changing all of their names, buying new domain names, and moving over all the info, data, and blog posts possible. It’s been a hassle and I just started an hour ago. At least I started changing the fun stuff first, like web stuff, before I really tackle the painful things. Like waiting in line at the Social Security office. And then driving ALL THE WAY ACROSS MADISON to go wait in another line at the DMV. But I don’t planning on tackling the painful things until we return to Wisconsin from Samoa…in one month and 3 days from now. I’m counting down the days until we leave and today it’s at 18 days until we leave for Colorado and 22 days until we leave for Samoa. I need to get a lot of stuff done between now and then, so wish me luck!

Anyways. Here are some ramblings from a blog I had on WordPress about a year ago and then another blog I had on a website I made with iWeb more recently:
